Amy O’Hara is a Research Professor in the Massive Data Institute and Executive Director of the Federal Statistical Research Data Center at the McCourt School for Public Policy. She also leads the Administrative Data Research Initiative, improving secure, responsible data access for research and evaluation. O’Hara addresses risks involved with data sharing by connecting practices across the social, health, computer, and data sciences.
Her research focuses on population measurement, data quality, and record linkage. O’Hara has published on topics including the measurement of income, longitudinal linkages to measure economic mobility, and the data infrastructure necessary to support government and academic research.
Prior to joining Georgetown, O’Hara was a senior executive at the U.S. Census Bureau where she founded their administrative data curation and research unit. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Elizabeth Garner is the Colorado State Demographer with the Department of Local Affairs, an agency focused on strengthening the capacity of Colorado’s communities and local governments. She leads the State Demography Office, which produces population and economic estimates and forecasts for use by state agencies and local governments.
Elizabeth has over 25 years of experience analyzing population and economic trends in the state, and her current areas of research include aging in Colorado, characteristics of migration, and poverty. Elizabeth is an economist and received her B.A. in Business at the University of San Diego, her masters in Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University. She is also a Colorado native, something only 43% of the state’s current population can claim.

Eva, born and raised in Chicago’s Chinatown, is a graduate of Chicago Public Schools and a first-generation college graduate. She’s always been appreciative of the people who supported and advised her along the way and she’s here to pay it forward to Chicago’s youth. As Chief Strategy and Operations Officer, Eva finds our path forward and figures out how best to operationalize it.
Eva obtained her A.B. in Government at Harvard University and her M.B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania. She has led strategy, digital, and operations projects at McKinsey & Company and has advised not-for-profit healthcare systems on financing needs at Barclays.

A lifelong Chicagoan, Katie has led communications efforts for a variety of institutions including Chicago Public Schools, the Chicago City Treasurer, and Illinois’ former Governor, Pat Quinn. Katie joined us for the opportunity to impact our city and its kids in a unique way. She crafts our story, oversees our communications efforts and ensures the team is helping our partners tell their stories creatively. She loves tiny details, graphic design, and spending time with her rescue lab-mix, Crosby.
Katie holds her B.A. in Communications and Media from St. Norbert College.

Steve is from Chicago, a lifelong Roseland resident, and is proud to bring his voice to all we do. Justice and youth equity are his life’s work, and Chicago Beyond lets him approach the issues from a different angle, supporting communities that are often marginalized in innovative ways. He loves working hand-in-hand with our partners.
Steve has his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Jackson State University and his M.A. in Social Work from the University of Chicago with a concentration in Violence Prevention. He has previously served as a Director at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. and helped launch the program here in Chicago.
Census Bureau Longitudinal-Employer Household Dynamics Demo

Earlene Dowell is a program analyst in the Longitudinal-Employer Household Dynamics (LEHD) program for the Center for Economic Studies at the Census Bureau. Dowell travels around the nation promoting and training people on LEHD products. LEHD makes available several online applications for dissemination and visualization to the public through Quarterly Workforce Indicators, LEHD Origin-Destination Employment Statistics, and Job-to-Job data sets. These applications include OnTheMap, OnTheMap for Emergency Management, the LED Extraction Tool, and QWI Explorer.
Prior to joining the LEHD program, Dowell played a key role during the 2010 Census in the Public Information Office and taught communication courses at the College of Southern Maryland.
Dowell received her master’s degree in communication and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Hawaii Pacific University.
