CTData Conference 2021 Recap: Coffee with CTData
Many folks only interact with one person or just part of our organization, and people are often surprised to hear about different aspects of our work they had never heard about. We decided that at this year’s conference we would share with you all that we do at CTData. You can watch the video and access the slides below or explore other conference sessions and information at our 2021 conference hub.
We Discussed The Services We Provide:
Data Workshops: you can attend either public CTData Academy events or bring customized workshops to your organization.
Data Helpline: you can email us at info@ctdata.org for data questions
Data & Data Tools: including data by topic, with over 200 datasets, and data projects. (See more below.)
Data Analysis Visualization: we partner with Connecticut organizations to bring their data to the public in interactive ways (see more below).
Data Strategic Planning©: many organizations struggle with what data they actually need in order to understand the impact of their work and make improvements. This service helps you identify the most important questions and identify how you can answer them by improving the data you collect.
Integrated Data Systems: more communities are finding that the data they need to learn how to better support the community is siloed in institutional databases throughout the community. An integrated data systems creates ethical, responsible structures for sharing those data to answer the community’s most important questions. (See more below)
Census State Data Center: we liaise between the Census Bureau and the state to support high-quality census data that is useful for informed decision-making in Connecticut. (Learn more from two of our other conference sessions, Census Resilience Estimates and Pulse Programdemonstrations, and PUMAs: What are they and how might they change?)
