During #GivingTuesday, a 24 hour global movement dedicated to giving, please help support our work and ensure we can continue to offer events and classes that are free and open to the public. At the Connecticut Data Collaborative, we are thankful for all our data users and producers across the state who have engaged with us over the past year.
We strive for informed policy and decision making across the state by empowering an ecosystem of data users and producers. This past year, we have rolled out our newest initiative, the CTData Academy, which has helped to increase data literacy and expand the data capacity in nonprofit organizations, community organizations and municipalities.
2017 has been an exciting year for the Data Collaborative. To date we have:
- Convened 3 statewide conferences that have drawn close to 400 attendees;
- Engaged with over 150 attendees in over 30 towns for our Data Basics workshop;
- Provided over 40 hours of one-on-one technical assistance via our data helpline;
- Held monthly Open Data Conference Calls to engage data users and producers in federal and legislative updates and new data tools and sources.
We know from our work across the state that opportunities for professional development around data-driven work are limited, yet the need is great. We make these events free and open to the public to expand access to professional development for organizations of all sizes and scopes. We cannot do this work without the support of partners and funders, and we are reaching out to ask for your support as we continue this work in 2018.
We hope you will join our ecosystem of data users and producers! Help us expand our free offerings in 2018; get involved and be in touch!
Many thanks for your contributions of support!
