We get many questions about opioid data and so we decided to visualize what is happening across the state. See the changes over time in your town and learn about the data wrangling involved in making these open data intelligible.

In 2012/2013: 
  • 111 towns had at least one death
  • 1 town (Hartford) had over 100 deaths
In 2016/2017
  • 138 towns had at least one death (increase of 24%)
  • 4 towns (Hartford, Bridgeport, New Haven, and Waterbury) had over 100 deaths
