The Collaborative, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, established in 2009, is a public-private partnership created to advance effective planning and decision-making in Connecticut at the state, regional and local levels through the use of open and accessible data. The Collaborative serves residents, nonprofits, policymakers, and funders in using data to drive policy, program and service improvements.
We are seeking a data analyst / data janitor to join our team. We need you to help us refine our data management and ETL processes and to develop data stories for informing Connecticut residents about topical policy debates.
Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Data Analyst will process and publish data on our data hub, translate findings from exploratory and explanatory analysis into compelling and persuasive data story and/or data visualizations, and help develop internal tools for optimizing our ETL processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, including technical proficiency in supporting tools such as R/Python, enjoy the interpretation of information and data and have a background in public policy in one or more of the following domains: municipal/public finance, education, public health, healthcare, and/or criminal justice.
